FiPiLi: Real-time Traffic Information for SGC Florence-Pisa-Livorno
FiPiLi is a free Android application developed by AVR for commuters who frequently travel the Strada di Grande Comunicazione Firenze-Pisa-Livorno. The app uses the Infomobilità system to provide real-time traffic information, including road conditions, travel time, and speed controls, both fixed and mobile. It also offers high-resolution images from video cameras positioned along the SGC and advanced reporting features for cameras on the way.
FiPiLi provides a list of service areas with fuel prices, weather forecasts for the three provinces, and a fast and functional messaging system to send pictures to the manager of FiPiLi (AVR SpA) and request assistance in case of need. The navigation display shows real-time information, including travel time for the current and next leg, the closest traffic event, and the distance from the next camera and service area.
The app also features an animated display via webcam of the next stretch of road and an advanced function to alert drivers of approaching speed cameras with audible and visual alarms.
